No, send it to me for correct disposal :chuckle:

Seriously, if it has been properly sealed (lid on tight in the original container) it should be OK. I've used paste waxes that are much older than that and they are just fine.

I'd say no. Heck at my last garage sale I sold a half full tin of Rain Dance for like a quarter, and when I opened it it looked fine. Little pool of water in it that I dumped out but otherwise fine. And as for how old it was, well my brother bought it when he bought his like, 2 year old at the time Grand Am while in high school, which was like, 1994.

i always try to buy the paste if possible, due to the fact it won't go bad (seperate) as fast as the liquid. there are many who have and use paste wax's that are well over 3+ years old. make sure the lid is on tight, store it at room temperature, and you're good to go for a long time...

Heh heh, paste wax had *better* last a long time, what with all the pre-VOC stuff I've stockpiled :D

Note that my last can of #16 lasted me over *10* years, and it was as good at the end as it was when I first opened it.

My little jar of Zymol/BHMA "Interior Wood Wax" is ~20 years old, and it's still fine despite a crack in the lid of the jar.

OTOH my small sample tin of FK1000 is hard as a rock and it's only a couple years old :nixweiss

My brand new tin was very hard when I got it. Really had to rub the applicator into the stuff *hard*. It applied and removed easily, though. The hardest part was getting the stuff on the applicator. We're talking about FK1 1000P, right?

Noting that I don't have the tin in front of me and I'm doing this from memory, yeah..Finish Kare's 1000 "paste sealant"/synthetic "high temp" wax.

Gee...maybe it's OK after all :D

In my experience, paste waxes don't expire.

However, I make it a point not to apply products that are older than I am.
