Wifes car, last polished late march with 106ff.

Seven months of mostly QEW washes with Blue MFs from excel detail:

I had used AJ back in April, in late August I applied a few coats of AJT as it seemed that
the AJ was loosing its slickness somewhat.

After a QEW wash:

Process:
Clayed
Polished hood, roof and trunk with EC/OP mix, white LCD VC pad 1500.
Polished entire car with 106ff/RMG mix green P2 pad 1500.
Polished entire car with P085RD green P2 pad 1400.
(I was informed after that 106ff and 085 finish down about the same. I can verify that I could not tell the difference.)
50/50 wipedown
Z6 wipedown
3x Z5pro w/ ZFX
Z6 after coats 1 and 2
Z8 after final coat
Just got new tires a few weeks ago, applied 2x of Z-16.

The beater was polished back in late august, now has near 176k on it.

91 acura legend coupe 5 speed 172k miles
I am the 2nd owner, bought it in October of '05 with 161k.
The car was repainted in 97.
Leather was installed in 97 also, it was a cloth original car. The drivers seat was not too nice when I bought the car, shame the owner did not take better car of the leather.

Wash/clay with QEW
PG/RMG with a yellow LC pad Rotary 1500
FPII with a white LC pad 1500
Wash dust with Z7
Z6 wipe down
3x of zaino Z2 pro w/ ZFX
Z8

Tires:
Scrubbed 1:4 AM 777 APC
3x of Zaino Z18 w/ tire swipe

Its such a PITA to shoot defects on white in the garage. The day I did the polishing it was very cloudy out.

Looks awesome. Nice vehicles. There are a couple other beaters (Legends) on here also, including mine :) The beamer looks fantastic though.

Thank you! The legend is a fine car, searched all over for this one and found it just down the road less then a hour.

You sure went through a lot of work to get those cars to shine! I didn't even recognize half of the products you used.

I'm glad to see that the polishing (with a PC, presumably) took out the swirls on the Acura. I'm getting a couple of swirls on my car, and I'm going to have to use elbow grease if my Cyclo doesn't take care of it.

Sidebar: I bought the Cyclo two years ago and haven't used it yet; I've been afraid that I'll ruin my paint. Sigh.... There; I've outted myself.

You know I'm partial to the Beemer because of the color, don't you? Heh.

Good pics!

Charles, Thanks for your kind words!

I used a rotary on both of the cars.

Just start out slow with the cyclo and use soft pads. Even with a rotary under 1500 and a green propel P2 pad, It would be very hard to damage any paint.

I see the color on your Merc.
