why this forum won't allow copy-paste

Works for me.
Copy and paste from AGOL.
Excerpt from a Mike Phillips post:
"When using a dual action polisher to remove below surface defects with any type of abrasive product you’re going to have two things building up on the face of the foam pad that you need to clean off.

* Spent residue - From the product you’re using.
* Paint - Small particles of paint that are coming off the car as you abrade the surface"

Not the "Best Detailer", but always learning.
Not necessarily tactful and often wrong.

I can copy and paste things saved in my computer or copy and paste from this site but not from another site.

You have no idea as to if I was going to give credit to the original poster or not.
But your post does not answer my question. :surrender

It is more important to be sure to cite sources when presenting information that is not original source. The fair use rules are generous on allowing copying and pasting with accrediting the original source.

"Detail City offers you the best auto detailing supplies, car care products and automotive accessories at a great price with excellent customer service."

"They also had an aerosol wash & wax called "Dry Shine." $13. Made in Canada by Lubco in Quebec. Typical warnings of Naptha, petroleum distillates etc. so it's probably like the DWG and Eagle wash aerosols mentioned as sold in parking lots and trade shows in the States."

I copied and pasted off a search engine for DC and a post I made on Autopia. Both worked for me. Have you tried a different browser, or at least check the settings on your current one? Is DC the only one you can't copy and paste to?

My post is a 'copy/paste' from the source cited, does that not answer your question?

Are you still able to C+P on other sites? Can you C+P from a different site to here?

It is a mystery as to why you can't. :hmmm:

Is the color of the text from the other site white? Sometimes when you paste white text into a white background it is invisible.

If so, you will need to highlight the invisible text (just like you would highlight to copy) and select the color icon in the message (quick reply) box area to change it to black.

If the text is black and you dont get a paste option after right clicking, try using "Alt + P" and see if you get the paste option in the drop down box.
