Why not?

We are all having problems with keeping our cars swirl free. So why aren't we all washing our cars touchless?

Ok, I (as a good detailer wannabe) have my own wash mitt, wash & wash quality shampoo, 2 bucket routine...

But yesterday I washed my car in a gas station that has something called "drying agent" called "osmoza" (in my language). So I washed my car without touching it and I was pretty happy with the resault. It' s true that my car wasn't very dirty it has just dust.

A few of my buddies own a few touchless washes. It is great in the winter but for one the chemicals are so harsh to do a decent cleaning job that it usually strips the wax off in a couple of washes. And, imo, they don't do that great of a job at washing. I mean to get a decent wash I have to use the highest wash which is $6-$8 depending on which one I go to. I could of done a really good wash for a couple of cents in my driveway. ;)

I don't think a gas station wash can begin to compare to a hand wash. Never had a machine wash that looked even half a decent as a hand wash. Plus the "touchless" washes use very high pressure jets and crappy harsh soap to wash with. Not my idea of a quality or safe regular wash for my paint or my sealant.

+1

They don't wash thoroughly enough and the harsh chemicals strip wax.
