Why I like D151

1 Section Pass // 9 passes
GG6 speed 4 + 6" Megs Cutting MF
2005 Toyota Corolla S - white

1 section pass XMT yielded no appreciable change (I stepped up from XMT to D151). IME XMT has more cut than G-P-S but I haven't played a lot with G-P-S.

The 360 is on bogo and was considering it. But have 151, GPS and BF TPnS already and wasn't sure about it. Defiantly don't want two bottles of an iffy product.

PM me your address. I have XMT 360 for you to try....payback time :D I have two bottles of BFTPS so XMT is extra for me.

I agree Mike!

One of the biggest reasons I like Meguiar's D151 is its cut. It's so easy to use and the results are outstanding. I've never been disappointed after using this product...

I owe trying D151 to you, Bobby. You recommended it to another member and that was good enough for me!! Thanks.

can anyone compare it to optimum poli-seal ? i've got some but haven't used it yet.

I know a lot of people really like it. Unfortunatly I'm not one of them. I actually returned mine and got GPS instead. To me it wasn't any more than any other OTC cleaner wax. Megs #6 does just as good of a job IMO.

I tried Optimum Poli-Seal not long ago on a GMC Yukon XL gray metallic paint that was swirled from weekly car washes we have to do up here where it rains all the time.
The Poli-Seal had a little cutting ability with a 5" Lake County Cyan Pad on a Rotary, but it wasnt enough for my standards.
It also left a big mess in the center of the pad that took a couple of snappy clean washes to remove completely.

I think it will work good on maintained, clean, pretty free of defects paintwork, but those types of vehicles are far and few between these days..

I next tried Meguiars D151 Reconditioning Creme, another new Cyan pad, rotary, same thing, etc., and it cut better but didnt correct enough for the amount of clarity I was looking for. This paint is not rock hard, but still pretty hard clearcoat.

I ended up using Menzerna Power Finish P203S, same everything else, and it came out beautiful.

Good luck with this !

I really need to try to use this stuff more. I bought a gallon as soon as it came out but for one reason or another never got around to using it much. Too many products not enough cars to work on. lol
