I just washed and spray waxed last night and my black car was all clean. Today what do you know i went out, it was sunny and for 5 min or so it was pooring rain. I was like awww sh!t that was a waste. This is def a part time job to keep black clean with no water spots. Also what will save me time that people were talking about on this board is a leaf blower. Im getting that one at walmart because I hate when i wipe the car down and there is still water dripping out in the cracks (lights, trunk, grill).

I always check the weather before I start detailing. I don't simply check the weather reports, either. I watch the satellite/radar and watch for precipitation. My accuracy when predicting weather like that is pretty darn good. :)

Such is the life of an Autopian.:scared: On the realz tho, Take your water hose and (if the paint is properly prepped that is) "sheet" off the water. 95% of the water should be gone.

I have a dark green metallic daily driver and it shows about everything. :( I just won't bother cleaning it if I known the weather is going to be bad and wash no more than once a week.

Same here check the weather all the time but like Holden said make sure to check the satellite/radar. I picked mine up from Home Depot (Toro Rake and Vac 51574), cheap, powerful and pretty good reviews, plus is a vacuum/leaf shredder which it will come in handy this coming fall. I find it easier to operate and less cumbersome than an air compressor
