White LC pads turned yellow after washing?

I polished my brother in laws black 328i this weekend with LC orange pads and UC followed by Menzerna 3800 on a white LC. I rinsed the pads in the sink with some dawn dish soap to get rid of most of the product in them and threw them in the wash machine (free and clear detergent) with my other microfibers and the megs yellow foam wax pads I used to apply wax to the areas I couldn`t reach with the DA. When I pulled them out of the wash machine, the white pads are now yellow! The foam still feels the same just incredibly yellowed. Is this common for the white pads to turn yellow like that? They were previously used pads a friend gave me both 5.5 and 3". Do I need to worry about them at all or are they fine just discolored? is washing the pads with the towels a no no?

The white pads suck up coloring like nobodies business. I now wash my pads separate just because of this. I washed blue pads, white pads and blue towels together, ONCE. Had to chuck them all since I couldn`t tell blue from white! I am guessing they took the color from your yellow wax pads.

I have only washed my pads with Snappy Clean by hand in the sink, have never experienced any color transfer issues, and get really clean pads..
Would never use pads for applying waxes or sealants, etc., because they ruin that pad for life and the product will never be completely removed..

I have some LC whites that have taken on a yellowish hue over time. I always wash them in the sink with pad cleaner. They still feel about the same as when new, so I don`t think it has adversely affected them.

I apply sealant and wax with pads, but put them in individual plastic bags when done and label them to only use the same product with them. Agree that it is nearly impossible to get most sealants out of a foam pad.
