Which wax?

Which wax has thel most durability, best shine, and ease of use?. I'm new to all of this and have been using products from the usual neoghborhood auto parts stores. I also would like to know more about wheel protection too. Any extra info on good quality detailing products and all input would be appreciated.

I would suggest that you start reading through the messages here. There is no best wax. You have to read and try and figure out which one works for what you want to accomplish.

Cool, if you are looking to keep it real simple, want excellent results and great durability, just get yourself the Klasse kit which contains Klasse All-In-One and Klasse Sealant Glaze. You'll never look back.

I have no idea what shape your paint is in as you share no details so you may require more products if the surface is in desperate need.

Poorboy's products are also a good choice. Extemely user friendly, great wet shine and decent durability, at least in my experience. The Klasse twins are also real good, but not quite as easy to use (mostly SG) for the beginner.

Like Scott P. suggested, go through the forums and read up, keeping in mind your personal goals for your car's finish.

:welcome to Autopia

As you will see it’s a ‘very user friendly’ place, the people on this forum are very knowledgeable, and are more than willing to share their knowledge. The one thing that seems to stand out here compared to other special interest forums is a spirit of "open mindedness, no opinion expressed is ‘wrong’ just different.

I’ve put this together to help you ‘find your way around’, hope it helps.

After reading the House Rules (upper left of the home page) that will tell you a bit about our operating procedures (and then Acronyms) Suggest you start at David’s guide (Learn icon – Car Care Topics) and/or (Forum – University) you could also research FAQ (go to Interact-Features-FAQ) or Interact (Search) and then ask your questions on (Forums - University) there are also tips on products under Shop (How-To) plus be sure to check on the discounts available to forum members. And there’s the (Reviews) section that includes the Hall of Fame, where contributing members have posted their evaluation of products.

The Autopia “Guide to detailing eBook (eBook Subscription) covers most facets of vehicle detailing, it only costs $9.95, and that money helps to support this forum. If Autopia solves just one of your detailing problems it’s worth the price of admission

Thanks for all your help. I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Its Pewter colored. It is in good condition with the exception of light water spots. I do go to the mountains and the snow, so I have to contend with that type of clean-up, at least once a week. I was thinking of getting the Klasse AIO. I am reading through the forums to get opinions. It does however seem that people obviously have there preferences. I hope I can find one that fits my need. Thanks again.

Yeah, Klasse will be a good choice but get both products. The lifespan of AIO is very short when not sealed over with the famous Sealant Glaze.
