Which pad is better for scratch removal?

I bought the UDM and I came with a few pads. I know what most of them do but I would like to know which one is better at cutting with Meguiars Fine Cut Compound, the white pad or the wool pad?

I am using it on my 2001 VW Jetta which is silver in color. I have tried the white pad and it did and alright job but still didn't pull out all of the scratches on my trunk.

Thanks in advance. :up

You're using wool with an orbital machine??

I don't think wool is designed for orbital, but mainly for rotary machines.

Try an orange or white pad with the UDM and don't be afraid to turn it up to speed 5-6 either.

If it's purple foamed wool then it should work alright, but normal wool like josh said might not work well.

Yeah, the LC Purple Foamed Wool works fine by orbitals (see my thread about those pads) and the little 3.5" pads are *the* way to go for correction with that type of machine. They've completely changed the game IMO.
