Which of these vacuum's would you pick?

If this is for personal use then go with the second one with the detachable blower. It will come in handy.

I have the first one, except i have the stainless stell model. I'm happy with it, i use it on a daily basis

I agree. I like the blower option on the second one.

i'd choose the 2nd choice you listed. also, you may want to consider these as they take up less room, but still pack plenty of power (5HP)....

I picked up the second one that BigAl3 pointed out for my dad. I was pleasantly surprised by its power in such a small package. The only drawback "for me" was that you have to buy a Rigid exclusive accessory pack. While the included nozzle works for interior carpets, you will still need to get a crevice nozzle.

If you just have to get a big one, I'g go with the one with the blower. But I prefere the smaller type for space, and they work as good or better!

I'll go for a smaller one if it packs close to the same punch. I just figured bigger was always better :)

Don't waste your time with the smaller ones. I've used them and they can't compare to the 6.5hp models. Like you said you'll be using this for detail jobs. You want the one with the most power. Go with the first one you posted.

Remember that HP does not mean much with vacuums. More importantly look at the water lift in inches and the amount of air it moves (CFM). These two things tell you a lot more about the performance of the vacuum.

Yea, I know it's all about CFM and lift. I've been looking at those numbers. I suppose I'll just have to make a game time decision and figure out which would be best for my use since it seems all of the Ridig ones are good, haha.

I have the second one. Love it. Plenty of power and the detachable blower works very well for air drying the vehicle.

The 4 gallon Rigid pictured above is a workhorse. Add the Pro Hose Kit and it becomes a *great* vacuum. The hose is much more flexible and you have your choice of attachments to boot.

Alright. Looks like I might be going with the Pro Pack one. What is the Pro Hose Kit, though? I can't seem to find that.
