Which of these sealants?

I am looking for protection as opposed to shine, depth wet look etc. I have a new black car and want to keep it from getting swirl marks. Which of these works best?

Poor Boys Pure sealant

3M (not sure of exact name)

Collinite 915

Collinite 845

Autoglym HD

I have all of these in my arsonel. Any other suggestions for protection and longevity?

Thanks

My vote would be for one of the collonites or the 3M sealant. With a black car, the most important thing is wash technique. Also, if you don't have a decent glaze yet, you might want to consider getting one to cover up minor imperfections between full details.

Congrats on the new car btw :).

I don't think any of those will protect against swirls. My opinion for best protection against environmental stuff would be one of the Collinites. Definitely agree that you must be careful in how you wash and dry the car. That's the most important thing.

I've recently purchased Klasse AIO and Klasse SG as well as 3M Performance Finish. With the rebate on 3MPF, I couldn't help but buy all 5 bottles. The 3M is currently on my car and the Klasse twins are going on my wife's car. I'll see which one lasts longer, but both are expected to last quite a long time.

Collinite 845 would be my choice, though it's technically a carnauba and not a sealant, it will still last just as long.

Like others have said, the only way to prevent swirling is improving your wash technique. The Collinite will cover everything else.

The only product that's ever resisted marring in the sense of "a protective coating" (scare-quotes intentional too, though I *do* think it works that way up to a point) is heavily layered KSG, as in at least six layers refreshed frequently.

But products that shed dirt readily can protect against marring in the sense that they come clean easily, with less need for scrubbing (causing marring during the wash) and less chance of residual contamination (causing marring during the drying step). In this sense, I can't help but think of FK1000P (wow...just "wow!" in that regard), but the Collinites will work OK while they're fresh. Just refresh them before they seem to need it rather than waiting until the need is obvious.
