I would like the best durabilty first of all, then I would like ease of use and looks second. Which collinite should I try?

Marque?

Super Double Coat?

Saphire?

Insulator?

If you want the durability they all last a long time.

Personally I think Liquid Sapphire Auto Wax lasts the longest and gives the slickest feeling.

I applied some over AIO 4 months ago (in a heated garage) to the tailgate of my truck and it still beads! I know its on a vertical surface but it went through a lot of salt and sand.

I ordered some 845 and fleetwax (476 in a bigger can) I'm giving these products a try as my LSP. I can be kinda lazy, so having something that lasts more than a few weeks is a plus.

476S is my choice. I don't even bother buying the larger version (Fleet Wax) as a can of 476S lasts for years anyhow. The guys at Collinite said it's their longest lasting wax.

I've never tried the liquid Sapphire, but their product info calls it a cleaner wax. I'd talk with them about it before ordering that one.

The guys at Collinite convinced me that only dummies ("people who have to spend a lot and have it smell nice to think they're getting good wax") order the MdE, which sorta surprised me. They were pretty blunt about it and the conversation impressed me that they're no-BS people. They said that they themselves use 476S and 845.

I enjoyed talking with them and recommend that anybody who's curious about Collinite stuff give them a call. Friendly folks and a pleasure to do business with.

I have both DoubleCoat and IW but I have soemwhat the opposite opinion that is usually expressed when talking of the two waxes....I found the DoubleCoat easier to deal with. The IW is a bear to shake and thoroughly mix when the bottle is full. I had to split it into two bottles.

If you have trouble shaking up the 845 I'd just stir it with a long (can very clean) screwdriver or something similar. Check what the shipping charges are gonna be; I'd consider ordering a can of 476S while you're at it.

With the deals that forum sponser dude is giving I think your right. Anybody what he charges to ship?

The insulator wax was originally designed for pulling wires thru conduit .... I've had several instances of waxing radio antenna's causing no /limited radio reception ....Cleaning with a solvent will restore reception ,just trying to save you from removing a dash, checking the antenna connection ,buying a replacement antenna to find out
