Which carpet cleaner works best?

I am wanting to clean a set of floormats that have usual dirt and grime tracked on them, but they are not excessively dirty. I am looking at a few spray on carpet cleaners to try out and have found the Wolfganag and DP products on autogeek. Which brand do you all think works better and removing stains best while still being gentle to the carpet fibers?

Folex is good, for sure. So is Zep.

But if you have some seriously nasty carpets/matts to clean, skip them and go right for the pro stuff: ProChem Ultrapac Trafficclean pre-spray, followed by hot water extraction with ProChem Liquid Slurry, followed by another hot water extraction with ProChem All Fiber Rinse.

The Prochem stuff is overkill for regular cleaning. Folex (and the others) work well for most every day cleaning.

They are not seriously nasty eough to probably go that extreme, but dirty enough to where I'd like to clean them up. These are just an extra set of OEM mats that I have for driving around, so I am not going for absolute showroom perfection to go all out. There are no spills or liquid stains, just ashphalt driveway dirt and grime in the center or the mats.

Does Folex work better when used in something like a Gren Machine carpet cleaner, or will a brushing, rinse and vaccuming work just fine? Does it leave any kind of sticky feeling afterwars or overly strong cleaner smell?
