It was a blast! I dont think it had been waxed in years.... They guy that owns it is a farmer and uses the truck as a truck, so it was not in the best of shape..... It has 218K mi and it is a 1988.
I started with the Meguaires cleaner wax, Then used the 3m on it then the Groits best of show wax as a topper. I used the Groits Fine had polish on the hood to help with the shine.... he was verry happy with it, took me little over 4hrs. The best part was that it almost didnt fit in the garage!!!!!! here is a link to the pics>

I have gotten one to many rocks hitting my front bumper and I'm going to add a clear film to it. The bumper only...

In your experience which brand is the best?

I believe the OP is askings, although I agree, Cover Craft makes some amazing prodcuts!

As far as clear bra brands, I don't know enough about them. 3M's used to be really bad, IMO, but I believe they changed the material, as they don't seem quite as orange peeley <[ is that even a phrase?]. I will PM this to somebody who I know has more knowledge than me about this stuff.

I have 2009 VentureShield on my 2009 black Grand Cherokee, and its great!

My ClearBra installer professional just told me recently that 3M bought VentureShield recently, so if this is the case, then the 2 technologies ought to come up with a really even greater product.

In the olden days, 3M made a really ugly, thick clearbra material that eventually turned yellow and looked awful.

Have seen 3m at the local Lexus Dealer and it has improved, but the overall quality of VentureShield is why I chose them to do my Jeep's front bumper, half the hood, mirrors, door cups and door edges. It looks great, polishes really nicely, no orange peel texture, and since its not as thick as others, it seems to not be as noticeable either. Most people I show my Jeep to, dont even recognize it on there until I point it out, and this is on a metallic black Jeep.

Good luck with your research !
