Where to buy claybars in bulk?

Dosen't matter what brand it is in America they are all the same. I get mine from washwayusa. Danny is an awesome guy to work with and he can get you as much bulk as you want.

Here's the purple I usually get but they have few choices

Always good to know it's a legit ebay seller, thanks! Yup, I'm gonna grab five of those right now.

I've read on Meg's Online that the gray ebay bars scratch and fall apart easily. Price is pretty darn good though.

What do you mean they are all the same? Arent there different agressivenesseseses?

There are different agressivenesses, but all the clay in the world is made by Clay Magic.

That's not really an accurate statement. All the clay sold in the US (and elsewhere covered by ITW's patents) is licensed by ITW nee Auto Wax Co. nee Auto Magic nee Clay Magic.

DO NOT GET THIS STUFF...it royally sucks!!!! i split it with a friend and we threw it away - super hard, crumbles, doesnt last long, scuffs the hell out of the paint...

Can't say that my experience was the same as yours, I just purchased mine about two weeks ago maybe he got new clay in stock. One thing I always do with my clay before I use it is microwave it for 15-30 secs then knead it into smaller size balls about three per 200 gram brick. Maybe this made a differene in my results.

I as well went to ebay and purchased like 10 bars and it was generic gray.

I do not remember the name of the ebay person(I can try to find out).

I have had clay to scratch the paint every time. I comes out with a buffer but well it kind like sucks that you must buff afterwards...(it did take out contaminants indeed but...)

I had some blue clay (not remembering brand) and I do not remember having scratching issues...

So I am in the hunt for some more clay bars. (I have some zaino clay that I may use this weekend- although I was reding that it may be some marring assosiated with it)

cheers

detailbarn: do you remeber what ebay seller you got it from?

everybody is talking about the "gray ebay clay"

like ebay makes the clay and there is on one type

I am sure some of it is good

it's just a matter of sorting through all the crap to find the good ones

I got mine about 3 years ago from this ebay seller:

hotgarageflooring.

I just tested it with warming it up and running it through hot water. It became very pliable and soft but as I was kneeling it in my hands I could kind feel like small particles in it. Like it had some sand in it(it was clay I just took off the plastic the seller had in, never before used). I rinsed it again and again. Used only an area 2 by 2 inches tons of lube. I wiped it and it was a whole lot of scratches. I used a MF towel with M105 and it seem to have taken them off.

This weekend I have to buff a black 07 Audi so I will experiment more. I will not post here (no more thread jacking). I will bump one of my old threads about dealing with a black car.

Cheers

Nick
