where do i start?

Carbon04

Ok here it is, I need advice from the pros. I have a 2004 GMC Sierra HD in Carbon Metallic. The truck is parked outside as it doesn't fit in the garage. I wash/clean it at least weekly. I am looking to go beyond what I already know with detailing. I have read alot of manufacter's webpages but don't know what to believe. So what does everyone recommend for products for the dark metallic grey? I don't mind spending time on it, but I need it semi durable as it is parked outside. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Klasse twins

or zanio your choice

Or Klasse AIO ... 2 coats Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection ...
If you want it wetter looking top that with 2 Coats of Poorboys' Nattys Paste Wax.
Plus you might want to go over it with some clay first. If there are swirls or fine scratches, maybe some Poorboy's SSR 2 or SSR1.

If you're really cleaning it every week or two, you could do with a sealant such as 4*UPP topped with a hard wax such as #16, Collinite, or similar. Even the less durable waxes such as #26, s100, or Souveran should be ok with regular maintenance. With a regular wash and some detailing spray or quick wax, it should be good to go.

Here it's raining really hard. No wash/wax for me.

I wouldn't forget to mention Pizazz wax for silver/carbon type colors. It will definitely dazzle you and it smells sooo good!

That is one of my favorite colors...I wish they had it when I bought my Yukon.

Any of the below will yield great results and protection

Klasse
Zaino
UPP
EX or EX-P

good luck

id recommend reading some stuff on autopia.org or bettercarcare.com.. you can learn a lot, and tells you the differences between myths and truths. as far as products go, i like klasse as well, and also poorboys products. just do a couple searchs, and look @ the reviews of products and you'll be good to go. dont forget you get a discount @ pac for being a member on here, and also, i think steve @ poorboys used to do that as well, but not sure anymore.. but regardless... he has good advice as well

Aloha Carbon04, I would deffinately (sp) do a good claying on the vehicle first . It makes all the difference in the world . you can get it from one of the sponsor sites here if you don't have any yet . Then if you don't mind waxing every couple of weeks or so you can go with PB's Polish w/ Carnuba. Excellent product ,fast and easy to use. It's a one step that polishes and waxes . great results for not alot of work.
