I just received my ClearKote shipment (VM, MW, and Rubber/Vinyl/Leather Treatment). Planning to try them out on the Benz (which does not use Zaino), but also thought I might try them on the Zainoed Jag depending on my results. I was a bit surprised to read on the label that all 3 products contain petroleum distillates. I thought these were a definite no-no on leather/vinyl/rubber, and that you would not want much on paint finish either.
So ... trying to be a good Autopian ... I did a search on "petroleum distillates." The only relevant thread was in
this review of Poorboy's Natural Look -- which seems to suggest that a small quantity may be ok and that federal regs require that they be listed in the label if there is even a small trace.
Also, if petroleum distillates are in a glaze or wax, wouldn't that suggest I must not use these over Zaino? I would think the petroleum distillates would remove the Zaino. :nixweiss
But ... I'm stumped. Can any of you more scientific types give actual facts about this matter?
