Wheel Well Paint?

Hey guys!

Does anyone have any idea which is the best wheel well or chasis paint to use on a pick up?? My truck has HUGE wheel wells and I would like to paint them. Any ideas as to what brand or type of paint?? Would you use gloss, semi or flat??

I don't know if I would use any type of paint in the wheel wells, since they get pretty knocked up from stones and other road debris.

Last time I checked, the stuff to recoat the wheel wells was a rubberized undercoating spray.... I used to have some.

Unless I misunderstood your question, do you have fender lines in there? The black plastic ones? Why not just use some trim shine or something in there.

If I'm not even close, then disregard my message! I don't know much about trucks. :)

I recently painted my chasis and underbody frame. One of my buddies said he had used dollar general paint in the past. I decided to go do this and for a dollar a can I feel it was worth it. Yes, it probly wont hold up as long as say...Plastikote or something that cost 4 dollars a can but for a dollar a can you can put it on more often with more coats. If your into trying this which i think youd be ok with then go to the nearest dollar general and pick up a half doezen cans of flat black.

Do your truck has any exposed rusty frame showing through your wheel wells? Rust-Oleum has several products you can use without having to remove the rust before you paint.

Thanks guys!

My main concern is indeed the frame that you can easily see in the wheel wells.

I will try a few ideas and post the results!:)
