Hello I was wondering if anyone could recomend a good wheel cleaner that is safe to use on powder coated wheels and clear coated wheels that I ca buy by the gallon. I have upgraded brakes on my Subaru and they dust alot so I find myself using alot of wheel cleaner in order to get them clean. Any recomendations would be a hugh help.

Poorboys World Spray and Rinse is one that I use mixed 4 / 1 with water, very effect on BD...also as a preventive measure you should look for a high temp sealant helps in allot of ways to keep the dust from sticking and makes clean up a breeze. Poorboys has one that I use.

For over the counter wheel cleaner you can mix APC 10/ 1 with water and that will cut BD as long as you keep the rims fairly clean.

Hi BigJim I hope all is well.

As for the brake shoes, I researched them last year and came up with ceramic pads!

First off my truck has front disk brakes and drum shoes in the rear. To my knowledge you can't get drum type break shoes in "Ceramic material", I don't know why.

However a company called Acubono kept coming up as the way to go, even over some of the custom break companies.

I hated my break pads (front) so much that I bought and had installed the Acubono ceramic pads on the front when the front pads were like new!

The difference was amazing, absolutely no more fading, there is a definite sense of more control when you have to get aggressive on the break pedal. I highly recommend them.

A lot of people say the dust is a lot less but the manufacture told me the dust is still there just not as much and it is not visible as much as in ordinary pads. Hope this helps.
