wheel care polishing

Just a question what is your favorite wheel polish chrome or aluminum? What do you use on either type to bring back dull or uncared for wheels.also polisher and pad type.:inspector:

I will address the polished aluminum metal first. Polishing aluminum and removing oxidation in some cases requires heat. The Mothers power-ball on a drill is a good start, for me I use my rotary and hard cotton polishing bob's for the end to accomplish the best results.

For polish I like two Poorboys PP for metal and or Zephyr Pro-40, both of these are high quality metal polishes designed for aluminum.

For chrome I use the same although you can get away with any good paint cleaner or some thing like PB PP...

Small trick on polishing aluminium once you've finished polishing and there is a ton of black residue on your hands, the rim and everything else. Get some baking soda and put some on a cotton towel, then wipe the metal with that, it will absorb all the black stuff up and leave the metal flawless of smears

Thanks for the info used the flour as substatute for b-soda.Ill give the soda a try .I have some PP will give it a whirl.

I'm sure the flour works the same and might be cheaper.

If you are looking for the hard cotton bob's check the Zephyr web site they have a host of them there

May i ask if once that is done, thats where your rim sealent comes into play? To protect what you haved polished.

Yes is the answer to that and good point!

PB wheel sealant would be the choice for me but any sealant would work in that case!
