Wheel brush - Tampico

This brush looks like it might work for the limited clearance I have between my calipers and wheel barrels...but I haven't seen too many of you guys one.

So...there must a reason why...is it the tampico bristles? Sort of like a toilet brush huh??

Fast, effective spoke wheel cleaning!

This SM Arnold Professional Spoke Wheel Brush has tampico bristles twisted in a flexible wire for easy removal of built up dirt between spokes. Also works well for cleaning stubborn brake dust in hard to reach areas behind the wheel. Brush features a rubber safety tip. Measures 15" long. Bristles are 1.75' to 2.25"

I have essentially that same brush, cheaply had from Harbor Freight, like $4 IIRC. I wouldn't use it any where near the face of wheels, maybe if you can get total access to the backs and barrels, lightly use them that way. You should be able to get between calipers with it although regualr use might really wear hard on the it, and it may warp fairly quickly. You might be better off wrapping a MF around it to ensure no potential marring and maybe save it from premature warping :nixweiss

I've seen those. The wire is a killer. And they are harsh on surface areas.

By far the best I have used is the simple foam bottle brush. The flat plastic handle gets between the caliper and the wheel....a problem I have on a couple of my cars, and why I can't use to many of the 'detailers' brushes out there.

I have seen these sold and after using one was not inclined to use or stock it. It seems like there is hardly any flexibility to the brush leading you to scrubscrubscrub like crazy to get full bristle contact.
