well... before you know it, winter will be here. so with that said... what is everyone going to be using as far as prep and lsp?

So many choices...#21 2.0, Lusso Oro, Opti-seal, Collinite 476s and Collinite 885, #26, #16...heck even OCW! All waiting in the garage...heh, I have no idea...but at least I live in San Diego so it won't make much of a difference no matter what I choose lol

Going to be picking up some Collinte 476. If i forget than I'll just use the 845 or Pink Wax I have lying around. Hope this winter won't be as rough as last one.

Winters aren't really bad here. Probably an Opti-Seal base and Carnauba Moose buffed off with OCW. Need to polish my car too, last time I did was in November of last year. :nervous2:

Winter, what's that?

Oh, you mean that time of year where it is actually livable outside and we open up the windows. :D

I don't really change much of anything for winter, other than being more heavy-duty about the undercarriages (more aggressive cleaning, not bothering with dressings/etc.).

i'll be looking at NXT 2.0 and collinite 476 myself. also have CG Fabric Guard, and a big order of aquapel coming in all for prewinter treatment. looks like it'll be another cold ugly one here in Detroit!

I was planning on the Vdub to use Zaino and on the Cobalt to use 476s. Seems to last every year so why change.

just have a question, this iss my first winter, i just want to know of whats good for removing the snow in the car, what i mean is, is it safe to use those one with brushes to brush away snow, or i can use the squeegee one and how about for the ice that bonds in the windows? gosh, too many preparation for winter... thanks guys

My 95 Monte Carlo will be receiving Collinite 476s and the 96 Impala will be receiving the full Zaino treatment... hopefully the corvette will be sold before winter.

This summer has felt like winter this year (only two days made it above 70) so I've already started my winter prep.

A weekend or two ago I washed, clayed, polished with 1Z PP, and added a layer of 476s to the paint, chrome, most plastic and the wheels.

I just added another later of 476s this afternoon. I should add another layer of 476s with the next wash, but right now a final topper of OCW & OID sounds good to my shoulders and hands. Whatever my layer 3 ends up being (476s or OCW), I plan to top with OCW or OID after all the remaining washes the weather permits me.

I park outside 24/7.
