Rotary polisher :)

Hopefully this will help you. do I have a machine addiction or what? :pound: Jimmy Its a great machine. I love it. I used for the first time today. Its alot lighter for sure then any other rotory I have ever had. The only downfall I found is the spindle thread size. Its not 5/8 like all its actually a little smaller. So you can only use the festool backing plate. It fits on a 5.5 inch pad perfect though!

Barry Theal- Sheesh, you have almost as many as I do...but then you're a Pro who can work miracles with 'em too :D

Is one of those Griot's 6" the dead one?

That's interesting. I purchased the same model last December in Australia and I've never noticed any difference in the spindle thread. I swap back and forth between the supplied 125mm (5") backing plate and a LC 6" (from PAC) without any problem. The only difference I see is the cable. Mine came with a bright green cable, similar to the trigger colour. Did yours come with any Festool 5.5" pads?

Marc, Jacob and Barry should get together and form D3 (Detailers 3)... much like the bands that guitarist Joe Satriani puts together called G3!
