Zymol???

:D I mean, you never hear from anyone on this forum who uses it. Things like their field glaze looks pretty good. Now, I agree that some of their prods are way too much $$$, but isn't carbon a good pure wax?? Just curious as why noone ever mentions them anymore...:nixweiss

Zymol is a good product, but if you do a search on it then all you are going to find are threads just like this one. Nobody ever really talks about it because it isn't that much different from the things we already use. Zymol spends a lot of money on advertising and that really jacks up the price on their product. Most people would rather buy a product that isn't advertised as much and works just as good, but pay less. How can a wax really be worth over a thousand bottles a can? I don't understand that. I've used the big blue bottle of Zymol that's like $20 a bottle or something, and I've found that Meguiar's Gold Class gives me pretty much the same immediate results for half the cost.

I've seen people dump their fancy Zymol waxes after one use of Pinnacle Souveran. Souveran is a pricy wax too. I've seen people drop Souveran for Blitz. Blitz is much less than Souveran and about as much as the blue bottle of Zymol. I would really like to compare the three to see how they compare. I wonder if the waxtest did that?

Speaking of this, I got all my pads and some other stuff from Motor Head (doh, I shouldn't be saying that here) for my DeWalt polisher and I saw their little magazine, they have the one brand of wax for 1099.99, another for 349.00 and the rest are the usual 20.00 waxes.

They have wax for import cars

They have wax for spoilers and wings

I don't know, if you ask me the wax for specific parts of the cars kinda of seem bull. I'm going to have all this car wash, polish, glaze, polymers and then 20 different types of wax. I'll be there all day waxing a car with a few aftermarket peices and end up using 30 terry pads.

You guys probably know this, but the $20 bottles of blue Zymol sold at auto parts stores isn't made by Zymol.... it's made under license from Zymol by Turtle Wax and isn't the real thing.

The leather conditioner "Treat" is pretty good but doesn't last.

The interior protectant "Vinyl" is pretty good but doesn't last.

Have the Volvo Carbon wax. OK buts sweats on hot days.

Tire gloss "Tyre" is nice.

Got the Detail wing and bumper wax in the old storage bin.

Jar is about the size of a silver dollar.

The one product I heard is oustanding if you want a brilliant

short term shine is Zymol Concourse but at $140. a jar

I'd be broke.

Bottom line the stuff is nice for a garage queen but if you

detail like a true Autopian you will easily spend $1000.

a year on Zymol products. If you have money to blow check it

out.

I feel the best company for a full spectrum approach to detailing

is One Grand.

I believe Zymol has a $1600.00 wax, also. But it's for a lifetime supply. You get refills on request, up to 2 or 3 refills a year. You just know it comes in a silk bag, and a special container.

P. T. Barnum would be proud of some of the ad men today! Enjoy!
