What would you follow SIP with on Flex?

I'm getting into the swing of things with my Flex 3401 and Menzerna again.

Once you've done white (or orange) and SIP, if the surface is perfect would you do 106/white, 106/black, 85u/white or 85u/black? (or would you use a blue pad - I picked up some new whites, as well as a few black and blues, but no real idea when to use the black and blues) Also, what speed would you work it in at? Something fast like 5/6, or slow like 2-3?

What color car? How many polishing steps? a two step on dark assuming it finished down the right way I would have went from orange to white with 106 OR if started with SIP on white would have gone to 106 on black. 3 steps would get RD on a black or blue(your choice).

I dont know if many do this but if I do a dedicated 1 step polish, I will use the white pad with mildly abrasive glaze like FK303 or CK Pink Moose and finish it off like that before waxing.

On very long polishing jobs I use black as a glazing or LSP pad and blue for final polishing

Edit: lately I have hated SIP- must be the stupid weather here..

I'm not quite sure of your question totally. I say this because if you finished down to a perfect finish with SIP, then there would be no reason to finish down further with 85rd...you would go right to your polish, wax, and sealant.

However, if I am not reading your question right, personally, I would go to an 85RD with white, because the black has no cutting ability to it, nor does the red, which makes them perfect for glazes, etc.

I want to add more 'pop' to the paint. I'm just getting the hang of my 3401 (i mostly use my cyclo, but I had to use 3401 since I was removing wetsanding scratches and a lot of deep marring on fresh paint), so I'm not certain of the best products/procedures with it.

basically (car is dark blue) i've compounded the whole car with sip+orange. Looks phenominal (i.e., no hazing, marring, swirls, scratches, etc...). Now i'd like to add more pop to the paint, preferably in 1 step.

Would i be better off doing white/106, black/106, white/85, etc...... and at what speed? Will working it in at a lower speed, such as 3-4, do anything more than working in at speed 5?
