What Would You Do?

Hi All. Been away (from posting - still read almost everyday) for a while but now that the weather is (hopefully) more accommodating will be getting back into it. Assuming my back and leg cooperate.

Buddy of mine from work just picked up this. As the title says, what would you do? Think I know what I want to do (Essence + Opti Gloss Coat) but am willing to be convinced otherwise.

cosmic v2 + wulfenite if its non metallic
if metallic then + high gloss or zirkon instead

glad to see you posting!

OMG I would give a kidney or whatever other organ you can relatively live without in comfort for one of those. Is stealing it not an option? lol

I agree on the PA Cosmic V2. I feel a car like this just needs something more than gloss coat. Not that gloss coat is not a great product, it`s just that`s a GT4 and it screams put PA Cosmic V2 on me. Its German and she is German. How can you go wrong. lol

Mike I`ll let you use my PA Centurion if you`d like....it`d only take about 12 drops to do that entire car...but its not a coating

you can borrow esclate for after the finishing stage too

Owner wants a coating. My rationale on Essence + Gloss Coat:

1) I`ve used that combo before and like the look
2) He is going to track it and the OPT coatings I`ve used on his other cars have withstood that pretty well
2) Topping with OptiSeal monthly or so has proved to be a successful strategy on my Lexus. Need to make it so the owner can maintain it.

I`m told there is a fair bit of Xpel (not seen it in person yet).

let me know if you need any Essence+ then

Only other option I can think of that is similarly simple and works well would be Gteching CSL then topping monthly with C2V3. But I would say your comfort with GlossCoat probably trumps CSL`s higher durability (if it is more durable every one has varying opinions on such thinks). I have used CSL and love how its holding up with only washes every 2-4 weeks and only been topped with C2V3 once last month and I have not noticed any drop off in protection (beading) in 6 months. Winter shall be the big test to see how it preforms.

Hopefully the paint was corrected prior to the application of the Xpel in those areas! Ive seen a few that weren`t that I worked on and it sucks because you can`t do anything about it unless they want to pay to have it removed, corrected, and reapplied.
I agree its definitely a nice combo - Ive used essence and gloss coat on a clients lexus which had a clear bra (not sure if it was xpel) and it worked quite nicely but sadly it fell into the "not corrected before Xpel application bucket" and you could still see the swirls under the areas I could not correct.

Either way whatever you decide I am looking forward to those after pics!
The GT4 is hands down one of my favorite cars I would love to own one day. That or a GT3. I really want to own a NA Porsche at some point in my lifetime and will probably have to pay an arm and a leg by the time I can afford it.

I`ll suggest Essence > Kamikaze Miyabi Coat (two coats) > Kamikaze ISM Coat. Then use Overcoat as a drying aid after washing and you`re good to go. That is one gorgeous ride and it deserves the best!

You know I`ll be agreeing with this approach! Finally got all our cars wrapped up with this combo (2 black, 1 metallic blue) and life is so much easier now...things stay very, very clean.

Coming up on the 1 year anniversary of one of the cars, still as solid and good looking/performing as application day.

Never used Essence with em though.
