What would be involved in getting a couple of panles re-clear coated?

Ok, my Civic was rear ended and broken into. The bumper is new and so it the rear quarter paint and the driver side door. The body shop used a really soft clear that scratches wat too easy. I MIGHT look into getting it re-cleared next year if I decide to keep the car. If I do, what should I expect to pay for a re-clear?

I've asked this same question to a couple of different body shop guys and get handed the same response each time: "Can't be done". :mad:



I guess the whole panel needs to be re-finished to make it right. I don't know enough about re-fininshing techniques so I can't comment beyond that.
