What would be comparable to the magic 1 yr sealant?

I keep getting asked by people if there is really a product that lasts 12 months out there. I tell them, even if the product lasted for 12 months, that doesn't mean your car will look good for 12 months. However, there is a group of people out there that are looking for a product like Ziebart and the car dealers advertise.

I usually just put AIO and SG on a car and tell them I'll see them in 6 months. However, is there really a product that will last 12 months with a single application and look decent?

Thanks,

No.

and look decent?

Clearcoated paint continues to look decent as long as it's washed. Those 3 year "NEVAR FADE! NEVAR WAX AGAIN!" warranties are BS... paint continues to shine for years. My neighbor washes his 1996 red Volvo 6 or 7 times a year, and it still looks like the day he bought it - swirled and shiny... never waxed.

There is no miracle 1 year wax. You'll get a max of 3 months out of a good carnuba and double that with a good sealant or polymer.

Best i've seen is 9 months with Bodyseal. Only trouble is that you can't use 3M gloss enhancer or spray wax after it is applied as it will strip it off.

You are already on the right track with the Klasse twins... coupled with a wax topper every 2-3 months... might get you 8-9 months. Keeping the car garaged helps.

Didn't YoSteve use to have a big link at the bottom of his sig saying "The Klasse that beaded for 11 months!", referring to that grey Passat of his? ;)
