What wax should i use?

Hey im new to the forum and i enjoy car detailing..



I drive a 1999 4 door chevy cavalier.. what do you reccomend that i use for wax on it?



If i do stages of wax what would you recomend?

Greg, there are many, many types of waxes and sealants. Im afraid we all have our favorites, and its impossible to narrow it down to one specific brand. You cant go wrong with off the shelf Meguiars, Mothers, even Eagle One. Online ordering may consist of Poorboys, Pinnacle, Blackfire, Four Star, S100, Wolfgang, Einszett, to name a few.....

My suggestion to you would be to go purchase a 1-2-3 punch product by Mothers or Meguirs and get your hands wet first. From there you can experiment with what you may need "more" of. Maybe you would like brighter reflective qualities, deeper/brighter color, maybe better durability, theres many attributes to each product available, and you need to decide "what it is" that you prefer! So demo with some off shelf stuff, figure out what it is your lacking, come back and ask away....!
 
That is not necessarily an easy question. I would advise you to observe some of the well liked brands that are proven to bring results.



Additionally, figure out how much you are willing to spend on a wax. You do not necessarily have to spend a lot to get good results (but.........the better waxes do cost more...).



Third, and I recommend this highly, you should try out two or three waxes and determine which one brings you the best results in terms of the type of resolution you are expecting.
