We're all car guys here. I assume, at some point, when you were growing up, you saw a car that just knocked your socks off!

For me it was the first time I saw the new '68 Corvette (Red/Red)... I'll bet my blood pressure shot up 50 points when I saw that car! (And I was only 16 years old.....)

What was yours?

The Citroen DS. Even though my adult automotive tastes lean more toward performance, I still want one.

The car that started my whole passion for cars... the early 90's Dodge Viper. Than of course came the TV show, Viper.

Now sadly I very much dislike Vipers, yes that means you too ACR!

Then I was 8 my mom got me a book about the McLaren F1, thats when I learned what real cars are all about, wasnt the quickest reader but the pictures did the talking :p. The F1 has taken the top spot on my favorite list since that day... and probably will never move from said spot.

!962 Corvette. Any color as long as it's red. As time goes by the price of this car has out-paced my available cash. My sites are now on a 68-72 steel bumpered vette ragtop. Had a 57 E t-bird and stupid me let it go.

The car that I loved as kid was the Ferrari 308 GTB like on Magnum P.I. I think the car has less than 250 hp so it is not really that fast for todays standards. I remember reading a story about a guy that always wanted to buy one and saved for years and bought one. One day he raced a kid on the street with a Type R Integra and the Integra chewed him up. He then had to sell the car becaused he was so disappointed and bought a Type R. :scared: I think it was more the driver than than the car in that story thou. I still love Ferrari because the exhaust note is like music. The Ferrari in Ferris Bueller's Day Off was one of my fav's as well.

The BMW 750il (E38) still remains one of my dream cars. I remember seeing it in one of the James Bond movies (Tomorrow Never Dies) and loving it ever since.

I would also love to own a 456 one day, IMO it has a much more understated appearance than most Ferrari's. I dunno why I like it so much, I think I just came across it when on eBay motors years ago.

Oh that's easy - for me it was the original Ford GT 40. There were only a handful built and imported into the US in the 70's. I think they were about $18,000. A wealthy guy in Spokane, WA bought one and it was at the Ford dealer I worked at in high school.

You know im not really sure what first sparked me???

I think when I was younger probably the car that I would see that would make me say wow would be any corvette! They always look awesome. Then as I learned about all these other car makers and brands and started widening my knowledge it didnt change my favorite but just extended my list! :D If I had the money I would have a garage like Jay Leno for sure!!
