What vacuums do you use??

Like the title says.....for all you mobile detailers, what do you use?
And for all that have a shop, same question......

Maybe post up a pic???

I use a $9.99 Walmart special. LOL! I keep my vehicle pretty clean so it works great. If I had a customer base to work with then I'd certainly need to consider something better.

This past spring I spoiled myself and purchased the Metro Vac N'Blo Pro Car Vacuum Cleaner from PAC. Got a great deal (10% off) and free shipping plus the wheeled cart that other websites charge for. This machine is really powerful. The only drawback is it takes longer to vacuum an interior now. The Metro draws up a good amount of dirt and sand from deep in the pile. It takes a while to get the carpet clean. Well it seemed that way with dark carpet.

The Metro does a great job and makes this step more efficient, with better results. It's expensive, but I feel it's the right tool for the job.

That actually isn't that bad of a price.....

What do you mobile guys run power from? Generater or power inverter??
As you probably guessed, I'm in the making of starting up a mobile business. Just trying to get everything in order so I can see what everyone else is using and so there aren't too many surprises....

I guess I wasn't a fully mobile operation. I used the client's power supply. If I had kept the business going I would use a generator.

I have the rigid 5hp 4gallon unit, very powerful, but sometime's I feel like I could use a lil more power, or maybe just a rotating brush head.

I use a Metro VacnBlo which has tremendous suction. I use a Ridgid shopvac for vacuuming my garage floors but I hate the noise, even with a noise suppressor attached. I find all shopvacs to be poorly designed gear...filters clog way too easily.

Dyson needs to make a cyclone shopvac in my opinion. :)
