I want the black to stand out, but not look wet. A semi-gloss look is ok, but I mainly want the black to contrast with the color of the car. :)

depends on what mood i am in, sometimes i like matte, sometimes I want to get a little more attention, and I go with glossy wet.

Matte for me too. Recently picked up Meguiar's hot shine with adjustable nozzle. Stuff is great, no sling and a rich matte finish--dark black but NO gloss.

Sign me up in the "dark but matte" camp. Gimme that old time religion ... with EO Satin or Zaino's rubber/vinyl product. :up

Here lies the confusion.

I like non-greasy hi-gloss (black). I like the Meg's "Hot Shine" but I consider it to be hi-gloss(black) and non-greasy. Some consider it to be matte and black and non-greasy. :nixweiss :D
