What to use when KAIO doesn't help black trim?

Usually this stuff is pretty good, but I think there is just a bit too much polish/wax/whatever else residue on this trim for it to get the job done. What do you usually use, or go to next, when this is the case?

The thing is... I've tried the wax remover stuff (from AG, can't remember the name, though) and it does a lot of nothing. That obviously does not represent every other cleaner, but I'm sort of looking for a more sure bet. I know the whole peanut butter trick and such, just looking for a less messy way. The worst part is that it's the sunroof trim, which is a PITA to begin with.

I use this stuff from Wizards, because I can get it locally or a couple bucks, Its called black renew. Its great if you can find locally. It will remove oxidation and other nastiness, like wax staining. It's the only thing I have found to work on some staining I had.

One of the best things I've found is IPA mixed 50/50 with water, scrub the trim a bit with a toothbrush, and wipe with a MF. Then you can use your trim dressing of choice. Have you tried a toothbrush with KAIO? Might work...

I've used KAIO cut with water to make it more workable, then brush that good. Right now I'm using Werkstat Satin Prot, which is awesome stuff. I haven't tried it on anything really nasty yet, though.
