what to use in a hillbilly town.

I just started detailing people's cars in a small town of clay, WV. We have to drive 1hr 30 min to get to a wal-mart or mall, that is how far we are up in the mountains. People around here just want there cars washed and waxed, but maybe some to none will pay extra for claying, polishing, glaze, etc. For the ones who do, what is a good polish and glaze to use that i can get from wal-mart, autozone, advance auto or napa. I was thinking of the deep crytal 1 and 2 and then nxt (already bought the nxt). Or just #9 and nxt. Whats a good consumer product to use as the last step before the sealant or wax.

I wanted to use this - #9/#7/nxt, but everyone says the show car glaze usually looks good on just single stage paint and doesn't last long at all. Is there a better glaze that i can use.

I just want something that some people will pay a little extra for, that will give them better prepped paint and a nicer shine after the nxt. But the prep is what helps the most with the after look, right?

i was also thinking of getting the VM and then topping it with nxt or just buying the ex-p everyone says it goes good with.

would this be a good combo wash/clay/wash/#9/VM/NXT

sorry for all the add on replys, but i mainly want something before the nxt that will make the paint look wetter and more reflective than just the nxt alone

If you can find #81 Hand Polish, you could try that. It's the #7 for clear coats. And DC 2 is supposed to be similar to both of those... You can just do #9/NXT if you'd like.

Absolutely! Prep is key! Clay isn't 100% necessary, but a mild polish on a car in decent condition is a must, IMHO.

You're going to have to play around with some products to find what works best for you really. Any of the things you've mentioned will give you a good base to start playing with... You could do VM/EX-P, VM/NXT, #9/EX-P, #9/NXT and figure out what you like.
