Hey guys I'm really frustrated because I can't get these scratches out of my dads car with dacp with the pc on 6. (Green Sonus pad) I have a rotary but not much experience with it. (I'm willing to try it out on my dads car)

Can you guys reccomend products and pads or any other suggestions to get these scratches out. Should I get a better polish for removing scratches like Menzerna Powergloss or SSR 2.5 or even SSR3? Thanks for any suggestions and reccomendations.
 
If you can feel the scratches with your fingernail, they are too deep and will not come out without severely diminishing the clearcoat.
 
Try the DACP with a Sonus orange first. If that doesn't work try a LC yellow and if that doest work dig out the rotary and start over. From what I've learnt here you shouldn't really go more aggressive that DACP with a PC.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to break out my rotary and go to town with a white polishing pad... and BAM! Got pretty much all the scratches and swirls out. I was a little nervous with the rotary but sort of got used to it after 10 minutes.

Personally I've found SSR2.5 easier to work with than DACP, but that doesn't mean I still don't use DACP.
