So i removed the vinyl stripes from my S10 and noticed that the clearcoat is kinda "stepped" i guess when they put them on at the factory it was still wet or something b/c as I was removing the vinyl, i noticed the clearcoat was over top of it in a few areas and kinda "snapped off"



So what is my solution here? I would like to make this thing flawless w/out a repaint...there is no vinyl left on the truck, the flash just caught the different levels of the clear and makes it look like white

I have seen this so many times and have done this also. That Ill bet when pulling the strip off it is like that one just one panel the whole way or a few panels. I have seen and done lol in dealerships and auction work. What happens is they only paint half a panel and use the pinstripe edge to hide the paint line.
