It would help to post what you have tried that way we won't give you the same ones. :)

I use a mild polish and 0000 steel wool.

well ive tried like vinigar, rain X, just plain washing.. its rediculous.. and what is this 0000 wool thing u are talking about? thanks

I had bad water spots and then I discovered One Grand Glass Polish. Amazing stuff in my humble opinion.

Autoglym and Zaino also both make popular glass polishes. Try running a search on these two products. AG stuff is sometimes available locally too.

I have had really good sucess with waterspots on glass simply by claying them. It does an excelent job in removing them. Just clay the windows like you would your paint.

I've been using Malco watersport remover for about 3 years now. The stuff works great, takes the spots right out. I've tried steal wool and for me, it only works when the spots are fresh. For glass that is real badly etched, you may need 2 or 3 applications, but they should all come out.

Have you used a clay bar on the windows? I did a good wash, then clay, then Zaino glass polish. No more water spots.
