I'm new to car detailing but i have a passion for it since i bought my new car. when i was a kid i used to do it and make good money but now it's more serious since i want to do a profesional job on my car. My question is i just purchased the porter 7424 xp and i wanted to know if anyone feels i should use it on a new car with either the Klasse all in one or the Zymole HD cleanse. Or if i should use any of those products but not with the polisher and just by hand. Im not really sure but i feel that either of those products are not really abbrasive at all as long as i dont use an abbrasive pad. Actually that would be my second question which pad should i use with the polishes i was thinking of going with the black lakeview or maybe just a terry cloth pad. Also as far as taping is concerned where should i really tape the car as to avoid paint burns or is it really necessary.

I use KAIO as a paint cleaner, it works as advertised. It is a non-abrasive chemical. It won't help any marring and such. It works great by hand or machine. Just don't over-apply to the panel, the residue can get hard to remove.

I use it with soft pads, like the LC blue/black. On harder paints you could probably be fine with a white. I have had white pads leave slight marks behind on my dark blue ford.

I wouldn't worry about burning your paint with a cleaner and a PC. You don't really work KAIO as much as a real polish. You can tape of trim and emblems, they can tear up the foam pads if you get into them too hard.

If you have swirls in your car you will need to use an abrasive polish. If that is the case I suggest spending a week or two reading about polishes and techniques. There is tons of info on this board.
