What should I do about bugs on bumper?

I usually soak the area with wash solution for a few minute and come back to wipe it with solution and you mit. The soaking helps loosen the bug splatter.

Spray some dilluted APC (10:1) on the bumper and use a soft brush or bug sponge to aggitate. May require a couple applications. Then was the bumper normally with the rest of the car.

I would probably use meg's tar and bug remover and follow the instructions on the back!

If you try it out please let me know as I was going to buy a bottle today but I just soak it and use the underside of meg's lambswool wash mitt.

Just to make sure of this, your giving someone advise on a product that you have never used? Why would you do that?

Keep the front end slick by frequently applying a wax or sealant to it. Bugs come off a lot easier when they're on top of a waxed/sealed surface.

There's ths great Bug & Tar stuff that I use - can't think of the name of it off hand because it's in the garage right now.

I spray it on all of the buggy areas allowing it set it in for a few seconds/minutes (depending on the severity) and then wipe off with terry cloth towel.

I then go back over with my finger and the rag with the Bug & Tar spray and get all the caked on crap.

I wipe it all dry and go over with claybar, then wax.

I had a few bugs baked in my paint due to highway travel and other stuff. On my last detail, I clayed it to get off the more fresh ones. Then for those who were really stubborn, my PC and some WG Swirl Remover did the trick.

Every time I see the title of this thread, I think about this:

By the time we got into Tulsa-town we had 85 trucks in all

But they's a roadblock up on the cloverleaf

And them bears 's wall-to-wall

Yeah, them smokeys 's thick as bugs on a bumper

They even had a bear in the air

I says "Callin' all trucks, this here's the Duck"

"We about to go a-huntin' bear"

Then I can't get the dang song out of my head. :)

I usually just include the bugs with my wash but use a different mitt. I use the sheepskin for the most of the body and then use a MF or chenille for the bumper. No biggie really. I'm going to toss the mitts in the wash afterwards anyways...
