Scratch-X or Mirror Glaze Swirl Remover 2.0? Is there any other products out there that are better for removing swirls?

Thanks,

John

One of the better SMR's I use is from Hi-Temp called "Light Cut".

Poorboys line also works well, especially their new SSR 2.5

Then we also have a few choices from the 3M line and also Menzerna.

Alot also depends on how you apply these products. Light Cut and 2.5 work best when applied with a rotary. The PC or the Cyclo can also give nice results if the swirls are light, which is an odd statement in itself because swirls are swirls basically.

Many detailers turn to the polishes with fillers when working by hand.

Hope that helps....and as ZaneO said, do a search :)

If you are in Southern California, there is a company called Mark V that has their IP 200 swirl remover. They also have a product that is a little more agressive for deeper scratches and swirls named Mystique. They both work great. Several dealerships in the area use those products for removing swirl marks and restoring the paint to like new condition

The "most" important products are patience and experience. Neither can be brought but can be developed.

As others have stated there are many fine products that will accomplish your goal but the end-user is the most important.

You might start by reading DavidB's e-book for techniques and do some searchs (don't forget Product Review section) for products.
