What product has revolutionized your detailing world in the last couple of years?

Although I've been practicing the art of detailing (the autopia way) for about year and I could pick from a bunch of products (AIO/SG, P21S, clay, Stoners products, Meguiars #9 and DACP, my PC, einszett products, etc.). However for me, without a doubt, it would be.......MICROFIBER!! From drying (waffle weave), to applying product, for removing product, to cleaning or just doing that final wipe down. It is unbelieveable that I onced used old towels to dry a car. :nixweiss . Oh well, live and learn,

I would agree with you about MF. I would also add QEW, I can wash in the garage any time of day or nite and in any weather. I couldn't before I tried QEW.

Id have to say MF's first, then the PC......

Ya never forget the first car you did, a BMW, by hand, with cotton terrys........If I had to do it again, it would take 1/2 as long as the first time.....

I would go with microfiber. The PC has made a big difference, but I've used a quality orbital buffer in the past. Product quality and selection has increased in recent years too.

Ok, maybe not revolutionizing, but...

Black & Decker Scumbuster. What a time saver on carpet prespotting, seats, doorsills, stubborn water spots, bug and tar, and on and on.

Try it - you'll know what I mean!

Patience, and the decision to really learn how to do the job.

OK, well that's not really a product. How about The Autopia Guide To Detailing E-book, then. The condensed wisdom of Autopia in one easy-to-reach-for guide (when printed out).

Porter Cable...not really a "product" but the most essential, basic tool of them all.

Don't leave home without it !
