I just spoke to Jan at CMA. They won't be adding any new products at this time. I will contact Ron K to see if he will sell to us ,they only will sell to bussinesses and I have one, I will see what documentation he needs,if so,I will sponser a group buy on the Aqua Pel. Any one interested let me know, There is 24 to a case.

Ron K says:

"AquaPel is a flurotelamer resin that is applied to the glass, vs RainX, which is a dimethal silicone resin.

PPG makes AquaPel and is hard to find, but our companies testing as well as Ford and DCX, have shown the product to be superior to all dimethal products.

Should be, since it was developed and is produced by one of the largest coating and glass producers in the world. "

I'm in for at least one for trial purposes. I have 4 cars to treat and if it is as good as claimed, I will probably want a bunch for myself and friends!

I think this thread belongs to ABAY, but anyway I'm interested in one. If that's okay, unless there's a minimum QTY.

Prices I don't know yet. I don't even know if we can get it.I have to see what documentation Ron K needs from my bussiness. If we qualify we will get it. There will be no mininums there is only 24 to a case. I will post the thread on abay when I know for sure we can buy.

I might be interested as this could possibly help out all my windows since they are all tinted. Could you please give more info on the size per bottle and how many applications or uses per bottle?

Thanks!

I have already be booted here, so call me, cause I am having some email problems at the office, and anyway, prefer to talk on my toll free land line.

I'd be interested in this as well depending on the price, but have you emailed PPG? I know Ron works for a good company, but it may be cheaper to get it straight from the company at WHOLESALE price, i.e. the price Ron pays for it before any markup that gets passed on to you. I was going to email them but I don't have a business so I can't request wholesale pricing.

I'm in as well, unless each bottle costs $10k, in which case I'll just pay someone to wipe my windshield as I drive (hope he's got good balance though, 'cuz I'm a maniac ;)

Im in!!! I hope it prevents windsheild swirls and that little pitting

The idea with group buys is the cheaper the better, but I don't know for sure if it is in fact cheaper to get it from the maker.

Hi Puterbum,

Sometimes not. PPG may have a min quanty to meet , like 2 or 3 cases. Its takes labor to set up a new account and do credit checks ect ect, lots of places don't want to do it unless you meet the min. Also Ron's place may buy in huge numbers and they get a good discount already. I would rather deal with Ron anyway ,then jump hoops with PPG. I've been there before its no fun.

Why give up before trying? If you might possibly get a better deal from PPG then why not try? PPG's site says they sell them in cases of 24, no mention of a minimum order. I would highly recommend emailing them for information or calling them...

Here is a link to their contact form that they say you should ask questions on in case you are interested.

By the way, be careful of what information you give on that form. The fine print says all of the info you submit is non-confidential (!!!) and the link to the Legal Notices is broken (!!!). Someone fell asleep at the computer when working on that page..

Personally, I'd rather buy from Ron as well.

It's the same as with the site's sponsor. I buy from them, sometimes in situations where I could get the same product for slightly less. I consider the difference paying for the support, and the forum. They always ship fast, answer questions immediately, and include great support info in the boxes they ship the stuff. That's gotta be worth something.

Ron's posted so many long, interesting, time consuming posts - he's due something (and I'm sure a group buy in this forum wouldn't amount to much to his company, since they're used to dealing in volume with dealers and not end users).

My $0.02,

-J
