What PC pad manufacturer to use?

I know LC makes good pads, but I'm not sure I want to go with the new pads that have the "pores" in them. I would think some product might get hung up in them and it might be difficult to really know when all the product in the "pores" was used up.

Having said that, can anyone recommend a manufacturer of high quality FLAT pads for the PC and where they can be bought on line?

Thanks!

I think you mean "dimples" as opposed to "pores".

Don't rule out Griot's pads. They don't get much mention here, but their orange pad is a nice, unique offering. It's in-between normal orange light-cut pads and regular polishing pads, and really does strike a good happy medium in most cases.

Meguiar's has no-dimple pads too.

Always used Lake Country 6.5" flat pads... No CCS or Concave pads for me thanks, just a good quality flat pad with a good strong backing.

I don't see a reason to try anything else!

Except 4" pads for the PC... Anyone have good recommendations there? The Lake Country ones are up to $5ea nowadays, sheesh! I bought em $3/ea by the dozen before...

I had read there are only two real foam makers in the world so I wonder who is selling foam made by the other foam maker.

Note that even if there are only a few manufacturers, they sure make a lot of different varieties of foam. E.g., Griot's orange is completely different from all the other orange foam pads.

This reminds me of certain clay discussions.

I'm having trouble finding flat 5.5" pads for my PC for use with the KBM. Any suggestions on a low profile 5.5" flat pad without dimples?

I actually started this thread - ended up going with the Uber pads from Detailers Domain. Flat and 5.5". Worked great for me.
