What LSP keeps off dust and prevents marring the best?

Since I have a black garage queen, what LSP's keep off dust the best? I know its not recommended to QD a dusty black car so I'm looking for LSP ideas that offer the best protection against dust, marring, and new swirls...

In my experience, that would be Meguiars #16. Stuff seems almost impervious to surface marring using correct washing techniques. I almost never get any drying streaks in #16.

IMHO no LSP will prevent marring. Marring is prevented by how one handles the vehicles surface. For example, if you use a poor washing technique, you will mar even a hard LSP like Klasse or Zaino.

Dust is a result, in most cases, of environmental conditions. Spring - pollen, US southwest - dust storms and dry conditions, Northeast and California - pollution fall-out. No LSP will overcome these factors.

I find that using towels that have low to no static electricity on my vehicle surfaces when buffing out a LSP creates a less attracting of dust vehicle finish. Even products like Souveran do quite well in my garage (vacuumed often and low traffic area).

Go with a LSP that gives you the look you love, protect to your needs and just live with that fact that black will show any dust that may settle on it. There are products out there that claim "anti-static" properties and ingredients and some work pretty well to neutralize surface static. But as I mentioned they too fail at negating environmentally caused dusting.

Do not let this dust-less quest entice you to chase for a cure by constantly Cali dusting or QD'ing. This quest "will" lead to surface marring and :(.

Try Scotts recommendation of Meg #16, he now has the headache of maintaining a black vehicle.;) I have had great luck with Klasse and Zaino products with outdoor dust "reduction" and complete elimination of the problem with bi-monthly driven black garage queen. I use MF's towels that have had time to de-magnetize for all buffing and QD'ing activity.

Hope this helps.

What blkz28Conv said I agree 100% couldn't have been said better ...............a lot of LSP that repell dust but if I had to pick one or two I would go with #16 or LS I found them to repell dust but that is my opinion

blkz28Conv... that makes a lot of sense... TY. I guess I'm thinking of protection vs. durability. I have the Klasse twins and had been focused on durability but after searching and reading posts about black paint, I am wondering what products help ward away dust and swirling the best. After reading this post, I will focus more on technique.

Are my Klasse twins at the top of the list in protecting against micromarring from QD'ing and washing? I know they last, but you mentioned their hardness... I was wondering if something with more slickness (like UPP) would do better than Klasse in protecting against dust, QD'ing, washing, etc... I know Klasse to be very good against chemical attacks on the finish but being a garage queen, my car will be more susceptible to things that cause friction such as dust and QD'ing.
