What kind of car is this?

I was digging in my backyard and unearthed this beauty completely caked in mud about 2 feet under. It's a Tootsie Toy, stamped on the underside Made in the U.S.A.

So tell me, what car do you think this is?

Now here's the next question: what in the world were you doing digging 2' under your back yard?

Looking for treasure. Taking care of the mother in law. No, actually just moving a bush.

5000 years from now, when the archaeologists dig up my property, they'll find all sorts of kid cars (HotWheels, etc.), plus a lot of my tools that the kids removed and didn't return.

Talk about un-earthing treasure! Just imagine the history behind it, 60 years ago, a kid was playing with that exact same car in the dirt and must have forgot about it someday. Funny that a detailer would find that.

They were hardy vehicles.

Last spring I got very close to buying a very nice 2 door 51 Crestliner, which I perfer since the grill is less "bulky", gives the body the look of cleaner lines.

Didn't get the deal, we were a grand apart and didn't feel that for what he was asking, was worth it.

That thing is hammered. Get to detailing and show us the after pics.

Amazing what a little Turtle Wax can do.

Ok, so I really stole this pic off of Ebay. I guess storing your Tootsie Toy in the attic is better than burying it in the back yard!
