What is your Go-To Essence pad combo?

Are you using it with a microfiber finishing/cutting disc to one step prior to coating/lsp (if cut/finish is sufficient)?

Are you using it as a final finishing/jeweling polish at the end of the process prior to coating/lsp? (like with the CarPro gloss pad)

Let us know even if you use it both ways depending on the paint condition/job at hand.

My favorite use is after a heavy polishing- to use it with the Rupes Yellow pad or Rupes Yellow MF Finishing disc
BUT recently I have been having good results with the Rupes Green Pad as a 1 step

I have tried essence on the UHS pad but didn`t really like it, it didn`t seem to cut/finish where I was expecting it to... the Green Rupes pad, however, seems to be my new go to for a little more cut

I have yet to try essence with a MF cutting disc

I`m asking mainly because I`m curious what everyone is doing...but directly because I have a white Hellcat coming in today and I`m wondering what people have used specifically with White paint.

Thanks

I use Essence as a one step correction. I use it with Lake Country Hybrid pads with my FLEX 3401. I usually use the white or an orange pad depending on if the paint is hard or soft. If the paint is in really bad condition I use McKee`s Fast Compound with the orange pad and follow up with essence on a white pad and then apply a coating.

I don`t like using microfiber pads as they tend to leave micro marring behind.

For white paint I would most likely use RUPES yellow or green pad with Essence if the paint is in fair condition.

I use Essence with the Meg`s microfiber finishing pad and love it. I normally use Menz 400 on a Meg`s microfiber cutting pad and finish up with Essence on Meg`s finishing pad. This works best on hard clear coats. I haven`t experienced any marring. I use less pressure on softer paints.

I was surprised how well the Rupes green pad cut/finished .. it gives you just a little bit more bite than the yellow pad

I really like the Rupes Green pad.. it`s one of my favorite pads overall (the ones that don`t self destruct--I have terrible luck with the 6inch ones but the 7in ones don`t shred like the smaller ones)

you fellas using MF discs--- low speed? I use 3 or 4 on my Rupes

but I use speed 5 when using the green pad as a 1 step

speed 3 and no pressure with carpro gloss pad (which is friggin` AMAZING btw)

Speeds 4-5 with microfiber. Probably could drop to 3 with no problem. I like the Rupes geen pads except for the shredding, which may be my fault for using Menz products with them.

I think it`s only an issue with the 6inch ones
I have, i think, 6 green 7inch pads, none have shred so far and I`ve used 3 different ones

They finish better than the uhs pad for sure
