We often use the term "the paint would be left with no protection". Here is an academic question. What is the danger of the having no protection ? Let's assume that the surface will *not* encounter marring from improper washing and drying technique. And, that the automobile is washed as-needed and otherwise well cared for (but still exposed to the elements). Why is it so terrible for a automobile to have no wax/sealant ? The only answer that I can see is that the paint might suffer more fading from the lack of UVB protection provided by the wax/sealant. Please discuss from an academic (educational) point-of-view. That is, I am *not* advocating that paint should go unprotected.
