What is my Thermax Therminator worth?

In addition to the Hendrick Autoguard Exterior Renewer which I just posted about, I also found some STP Son of a Gun! vinyl, rubber, leather, and plastic protectant burried in the garage. I decided to use my cheap materials on my friend's black Mercedes CLK (as stated before in the "Mystery Wax" post, I wasn't being compensated for the materials, so I used old stuff I have). On the yellow bottle of STP, I found a price sticker: $3.29 for 20 oz. Not bad. It probably is oily, shiny, and cheap, I thought. I used it on the tires (no way I'm using my 303 or Endurance for free!!) and dash, and once again, I was surprised! The tires were not overly shiny at all, which thrilled me because I loathe shiny tires on black cars. It left a pretty good matte look with a mild touch of gloss. The tires looked awesome (for now, but who knows how long it will last. I'll get back to you on that.) The dash wasn't too shiny either, and it reminded much of 303 but for almost a full $10 cheaper! It wasn't glossy or shiny, and didn't glare in the sun. As for dust collection, once again, I'll have to get back to you on that.

As long as I have 303, I doubt I will use STP on my car, but I always love finding hidden bargains. Has anybody else used STP Son of a Gun!?

My Dad uses that STP Son of a Gun on his beater truck, but I wouldn't ever let it touch my tires or anything else. It works OK for him, but way too messy for me...

I like Zaino Perfect Tire Gloss! ;)

I have a bottle for the wheel wells only...Cover those tires first so the tread does not get any on it and make you crash the first time you use the brakes!:xyxthumbs

I also use this product in my wheel wells. I bought a gallon of this at a store called Odd Job in NJ for $5.00. Couldn't pass it up!

:D

Try it in a small spray bottle and see. most of the cheapos are not PDMS (water soluble) so they may not mix well.

Try it and post results!

Thanks for the tip GMN. My other option was buying the economy exterior dressing (one gallon for $21.95) from Rightlook.com and giving that a try. :D
