In addition to the Hendrick Autoguard Exterior Renewer which I just posted about, I also found some STP Son of a Gun! vinyl, rubber, leather, and plastic protectant burried in the garage. I decided to use my cheap materials on my friend's black Mercedes CLK (as stated before in the "Mystery Wax" post, I wasn't being compensated for the materials, so I used old stuff I have). On the yellow bottle of STP, I found a price sticker: $3.29 for 20 oz. Not bad. It probably is oily, shiny, and cheap, I thought. I used it on the tires (no way I'm using my 303 or Endurance for free!!) and dash, and once again, I was surprised! The tires were not overly shiny at all, which thrilled me because I loathe shiny tires on black cars. It left a pretty good matte look with a mild touch of gloss. The tires looked awesome (for now, but who knows how long it will last. I'll get back to you on that.) The dash wasn't too shiny either, and it reminded much of 303 but for almost a full $10 cheaper! It wasn't glossy or shiny, and didn't glare in the sun. As for dust collection, once again, I'll have to get back to you on that.
As long as I have 303, I doubt I will use STP on my car, but I always love finding hidden bargains. Has anybody else used STP Son of a Gun!?
