What If ?

What would happen IF I were to use FP over Z or for that matter any polish?? I have always wondered what this would do? Would the result be to smooth the polish? Would the effect be to gum up the surface? I am not into backward detailing, but I am just curious if there are rules which cannot be played with to obtain a positive result.... would this save a painted surface from being slowly removed by abrasion, however slight over time ?

That's one rule that can't really be played with. If you use an abrasive you'll just cut off your LSP. You won't smooth it, it's much too fragile for that. If you had a *lot* of LSP on there (I've used a mild polish on many layers of KSG) then *maybe* you'd just gum it up, but then you'd just have to polish it *more* to clean the whole mess off.
