What has MartinD been doing?

I go into work around 7:30am. Everything went well, finished the few cars I had to detail and that was that. After leaving work, I stop by Ken (WRXBrakes) shop to pick up some oil. I wait around to help a friend push a car into the garage, then leave. While waiting around the rain picked up like crazy around 6PM here in NC.

I take it easy in the rain, with the RT615 etc...I was driving home, less than 3 minutes away from the shop, and what do you know?

Toyota Tacoma decides to go weaving in and out of traffic and do about 55 in a 45 with the rain coming down VERY hard. I was thinking to myself, this is not going to be good. The next intersection is has a quick off-camber left "bump" in the road and when he hit that, he moved over about 4-5 feet into my lane. I quickly turned the steering wheel to the left, and began hydroplaning. Instantly the car did a 180 into oncoming traffic. Both feet were in tried to regain control, nothing. I looked ahead and noticed a UHAUL 24ft box truck coming down the hill, then it was over.

I "drove" a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX. Of course, just had installed all of the goodies I had waiting for the car to hit 15k. I enjoyed it for less than 2 weeks that way.

Walked away in decent shape. Mild concussion, a couple of broken digits, broken ankle, bruises all over and a smashed up nose :(

Here it was at the salvage yard :(

Holy crap man! Glad your ok for the most part. Did they get the Dbag that caused this? Have you posted this on EvoM yet?

I am so glad that you could walk away from that. What a story. I also love the turnaround that you did on the Civic. Great job.

WOW!! That aftermath looks scary, I'm glad to hear you came out somewhat ok. Someone was looking out for you.

On a lighter note nice looking EG!!

Wow, that looks like you could have walked out much worse from that one!

Your Evo was a nice ride, that must hurt quite a bit seeing it like that.

Goodness, that looked painful! Glad you're alright.

Is that the same paint on the Civic? Looks stunning! How much did you put into it?

Glad you walked away from the fender bender. At least you picked up a nice ride. Clean, I'm not a fan of the mirrors, but nice work.

B18C5? Grab a mugen intake, Hytech header, and a J's exhaust, and your set.

Dang that's sad. Second import gone! At least your safe and you can detail. Sigh. Can you fit all your Detail Supplies in there?

Sorry to hear about your accident. Not to sound redundant, but glad that you're okay. That civic looks great! Is it all original paint? Specs and list of things you've done to it up to this point? :)
